The world has been destroyed by nuclear destruction and only Australia survived, but will soon die according to one scientist. But another scientist disagrees and believes 1000 people can be relocated to the northern hemisphere and survive. One American submarine survived as well and the scientist wants the Captain to take a trip and check it out.
