A tough, by-the-book cop is partnered with a fame-hungry rookie for a reality-based cop TV show. The TV show becomes an overnight sensation as the real cops track down the supplier of a "super gun."
Now, the two would-be antagonists must put their differences behind them in order to catch the crooks - all in front of the rolling TV cameras.
