On the eve of the new millenium in Los Angeles, a down-on-his-luck trucker BRUCE PALMER (Robert Carradine) and his pal PEARL (Richard Hillman) land the haul of a lifetime! A strange chain smoking antique dealer offers them twelve thousand dollars in cash to haul a huge crate to Florida and deliver it to his brother. The catch? Palmer and Pearl must go pedal to the metal in order to get there before midnight New Years Eve. If they miss the date they lose the money! And one more thing, under no circumstances are they to ever open the crate... no matter what! Because to do so will cause the total annihilation of the world as we know it!
