Reardon immediately smells a rat and follows a complex maze of clues that lead him to the "Carlotta Lists." With a little help from his "friends", Alan Ladd, Barbra Stanwyck, Ray Milland, Burt Lancaster, Humphrey Bogart and Charles Laughton, Reardon gets his man.
