Penelope Cruz Loses Ralph Lauren Contract

She may be beautiful but that just isn't enough for Ralph Lauren, who dropped the Penelope as the face of Polo by Ralph Lauren.

The American designer snatched up the little hot pepper in 2000 when she was dubbed at the "next big thing" in Hollywood. She may have impressed Tom but her list of box-office numbers didn't do much for the designer.

Penelope's pretty little face will still stare at you from advertisements for Glamorous, Lauren's newest fragrance, until 2003 when her contract expires.
