Producer Rick McCallum is already talking about the destined DVD of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones. While the film doesn't debut in theaters across the globe until tomorrow, McCallum did offer some details on the future DVD of the film.

In an interview with British web site Empire Online, McCallum said he is coaxing George Lucas to do a commentary track. Also, the four hours of film shot for Episode II may also appear on the disc (or discs) as an uncut version of the film. "Oh, you're definitely going to get it all... With George, he'll keep changing the film til the day he dies," McCallum said.

McCallum also spoke on the future of the original Star Wars trilogy, which reportedly won't be ready until the time Episode III hits theaters in 2005. "Three years is a long time, but that's how long it takes," he said. Apparently Lucas isn't satisfied with the current DVD encoding of the original films or the Special Editions released a few years ago.

Lucas has previously divulged to shooting new footage for the original films during Episode II production and plans to shot even more during Episode III's filming. McCallum confirmed that all this new footage will be included in the DVD releases of Episodes IV through VI.

As Yoda would say, "Patient you must be."
