Weekend At Aunt Bernie's?

A very unusual pair of Melissa Joan Hart and Carmen Electra are set to star in a new movie with a familiar premise. The movie, Rent Control, borrows from the popular Weekend At Bernie's concept of trying to maintain that a corpse isn't really dead.

The story revolves around a young couple (Hart and Ryan Browning) who move to New York to see if Hart can make it as an actress. They temporarily live with her Aunt and her apartment full of cats. Soon after moving in, the Aunt dies and they risk losing the rent-controlled apartment if her Aunt's demise becomes known. So, with a little help from their friends (namely, Bernie) they continue a ruse as if nothing happened.

Maybe this isn't such an odd pairing afterall. I mean, their careers are both headed in the same direction...
