A 'Storm' Brews On X-Men 2 Set

Director Bryan Singer and his cast for X-Men 2 swapped words this week over where their loyalty lies. Apparently, Singer and producer Tom De Santo were arguing over the fate of Singer's driver, who had earlier given Singer a painkiller which rendered the director unable to work.

Singer tried to have De Santo removed from the picture, but the cast got together and called the studio to threaten their departure if De Santo was let go. Upon hearing of the supposed mutiny on his set, Singer gathered the cast and patronized them for not sticking up for him. The cast, led by Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart, got into a verbal war that will surely rear its ugly head in the final product.
