It became official Tuesday, even though it was technically 2003, there were more blockbusters released in 2002 than in any year previous to it. Catch Me If You Can topped the $100 million mark in domestic ticket sales, making it the 23rd movie released in 2002 to surpass the magical "blockbuster" mark.

The previous record was set in 2000, when 22 movies went over the century mark. But don't mark your record books yet. With Two Weeks Notice and Maid In Manhattan still holding out hope for $100 million, 2003 could become a record shattering year.
