Veteran movie and TV actor Robert Stack died at his home today from a heart attack. The "Untouchables" and "Unsolved Mysteries" star was 84.
Always known for playing the prim and proper straight man over the years, Stack was in the middle of a Renaissance in his career by playing the comical opposite to his stuffy persona in such modern classics as Airplane!, Caddyshack II and Beavis And Butt-Head Do America. But, for older audiences, he will always be the gruff Eliot Ness from the hit TV series "The Untouchables."
Robert is survived by his wife, Rosemary, and his two children.
