The second coming of 'Bruce Almighty'

The last time we left Bruce, he was learning a valuable lesson about the responsibility that comes with the ultimate power. Now, it appears that he will brush up on his carpentry skills in Bruce Almighty 2.

Universal and Sony Pictures have optioned the script "The Passion of the Ark" with the hopes of enticing Jim Carrey back to make it the basic premise of the next chapter in Bruce's life. The story follows a man who is tapped by God to construct a new ark to be used for the second coming of the Great Flood.

While Jim Carrey isn't contractually obligated to make a sequel, he has been very outspoken of his desire to return to the role.
