Kevin Costner Didn't Take A Bride

Last week reports from Italy claimed Kevin Costner wed his longtime girlfriend, Christine Baumgartner. Not so.

The Thirteen Days star was livid with the press after reading about his supposed marriage. After more than 20 years in the business, Kevin knows how the media can act, but this ordeal has been extremely hurtful to his entire clan. "It forces you to have to say out loud, maybe in front of your sweetheart that 'No, we're not getting married.' That weighs on someone if you have to hear it," Kevin said.

But it wasn't telling Christie 'no, no' that hurt him most. It was the reaction from his children. They heard the news through the gossip lines, but couldn't be reached and ensured it was just a rumor.
