In just a few short years, Larry and Andy Wachowski created an immense sci-fi universe -- one whose depth rivaled that of George. Now, Warner Home Video is packaging all that together into a humongous ten-disc DVD set to be released on Dec. 7.

The Ultimate Matrix Collection combines all the movies with a "whoa!"-inducing 35 hours of bonus content including over 100 new featurettes. Also available will be a limited edition set with a collector's case, a Neo (Keanu Reeves) bust, and an 80-page book.

Here's a rundown of the disc contents: 1. The Matrix - sporting a new digital transfer of the film with two new commentaries 2. The Matrix Revisited 3. The Matrix Reloaded - with two new commentaries 4. The Matrix Reloaded Revisited - containing the extra scenes shot for the Enter The Matrix video game 5. The Matrix Revolutions - with two new commentaries 6. The Matrix Revolutions Revisited 7. The Animatrix - the animated short films 8. The Roots of The Matrix - the source and inspiration of the universe 9. The Burly Man Chronicles - a look at the team who worked to create these movies and games 10. The Zion Archive - assets involved in the production of The Matrix universe

The basic, 10-disc set retails for $79.92 while the deluxe edition is $129.92.

If that's not enough Matrix for you, remember that the massive multiplayer The Matrix Online game (much like Everquest but set in the Matrix universe) is due a month before, in November.
