'The Poseidon Adventure' resurfaces as a remake

Further proof that Hollywood has lost its ability to create an original storyline, Warner Bros. will be releasing a remake of the 1972 disaster film The Poseidon Adventure.

Already on board the ill-fated cruise ship is Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss, Emmy Rossum, and Mike Vogel. Andre Braugher is also close to jumping aboard. Wolfgang Petersen is at the helm as director.

The film is being planned for May 5, 2006 a launch.
