Wedding Crashers proved it's one of the funniest films of the year by finally taking the top spot at the box office after two weeks in second place. And, according to a report in Home Media Retailing, there will be even more laughs coming on the movie's DVD.

The magazine talked with film's director David Dobkin about scenes cut from the two plus hour movie which he hopes will be included on the DVD. "The movie was on the verge of being too long [for a comedy], so it couldn't take another scene, no matter how funny," he said.

One scene in particular had Vince Vaughn's character pretending to be a deaf mute to avoid a woman he seduced at a different wedding he had crashed. Dobkin wants to include 11 deleted scenes on the DVD release.

No word if these deleted scenes would take the raunchy, R-rated film to the popular "Unrated Version" category. "Well, you'll just have to wait and see," he said.

One thing Dobkin will reluctantly include is a collection of bloopers. Dobkin doesn't want to step onto Jackie Chan's toes as he commonly includes a gag reel at the end of his films. "Having done a Jackie Chan film, I really feel like it's his territory... But we have really, really fun outtakes for the DVD." Dobkin directed Shanghai Knights (also with Owen Wilson).

Wedding Crashers is anticipated for a DVD release in January.
