Zellweger seeks annulment on grounds of 'fraud'

Actress Renee Zellweger has filed for an annulment of her four month marriage to country music singer Kenny Chesney on the grounds of "fraud."

While the exact nature of fraud has not yet been spelled out, Zellweger released a statement downplaying the reason. "It's simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny's character."

Meanwhile fans of the pair are left to wonder what went wrong after the pair married secretly in May on St. John of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The couple met while working on a tsunami relief benefit show on January 15th.

But it doesn't appear that any answers will be forthcoming soon. "We hope to experience this transition as privately as possible," continued Zellweger. While Chesney echoed the concern. "This is an incredibly sad time. I just hope everyone can respect the privacy that I know Renee has already asked for."
