J.J. Abrams working with his friends on 'Mission: Impossible 3'

J.J. Abrams has a thing for loyalty and working with his friends on his TV shows, so it's no surprise that these same values are carrying over to his big screen directing debut, Mission: Impossible 3. Word is leaking from the set that Abrams' long-time pal Greg Grunberg has filmed a cameo in the Tom Cruise starrer.

You might not recognize Greg by name, but you'd surely recognize him from his Abrams roles. He played an inventor on the verge of striking it big in Felicity, a secret agent with a heart of gold in Alias and the pilot who meets a painful, untimely end in Lost.

Mission: Impossible 3 also re-teams Abrams with his Felicity star Keri Russell, who plays the leading lady to Cruise's Ethan Hunt.

Mission: Impossible 3 is filming now and set for a May 5, 2006 theatrical release.
