'Virgin' 'Crashes' MTV Movie Awards

If you like your comedies irreverent and filled with as much potty humor as possible, then this year's MTV Movie Awards is right up your alley. Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year-Old Virgin tied for the most nominations with five each.

The MTV Movie Awards isn't your typical pomp and circumstance awards show. With tongue-in-cheek categories such as Best Kiss and Best Fight, it tends to be a favorite show amongst the MySpace crowd that movie studios covet.

Bypassing Oscar favorites Crash and Brokeback Mountain, the nominess for Best Picture include Batman Begins, King Kong, Sin City along with Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year-Old Virgin.

But all that was learned in Brokeback was not lost, also gone is the gender specific categories. Now, Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon will compete against her screen partner Joaquin Phoenix and funny guy Steve Carell for Best Performance.

Call me crazy, but I think Rob Schneider will have an uphill climb against Jessica Alba and Jessica Simpson in the "Sexiest Performance" category.
