Johnny Depp, Tim Burton reunite for musical

While at first glance that headline might turn a few heads, it starts to make a whole lot of sense when the musical in question is the bloody Sweeney Todd. Is there a better pair suited for a big screen adaptation of it than Tim Burton and Johnny Depp?

The film will begin filming in early 2007 with a release date to follow later in the year. It is being reported that Depp will do all of his own singing in the titular role.

This film will mark the sixth collaboration between actor and director following Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Corpse Bride.
