When you think of watching a movie from Russia, you might imagine sparse settings featuring stiff acting and an uninteresting storyline with boring dialogue. If you did imagine such a film, you'd be dead wrong.

Those who saw the 2006 Russian film Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) know that's definitely not the case. The story of the modern-day battle between light and dark is mesmerizing and contains special effects as good as anything Hollywood could produce.

The second in this trilogy, Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor), comes to theaters on June 1 and we've got the trailer.

This thing has to be seen to believed. Writer-director Timur Bekmambetov ups the ante in this second installment of his very Star Wars and The Matrix-inspired series. The car driving on the side (yes, on the side) of the high-rise building looks amazing.

I challenge you to watch this and not get excited to see the actual movie.
