'Cloverfield' monster: Looks a little Godzilla-ish (video)

/Film has a slowed-down video excerpt from the newly released Cloverfield trailer. It has an ever-so-brief glimpse of the monster from next year's movie.

And when I say brief, I mean brief. As in seven seconds -- and that's playing it twice -- and the monster is severely obscured by buildings.

The internet's movie pundits have been feverishly dissecting the new trailer since was released on Apple's site yesterday in HD. (It's the same trailer being shown in theaters in advance of Beowulf.)

My verdict after watching this Zapruder-esque video? Godzilla lives.

No, wait... We've got a challenge.

OK, after further review, the ruling on the field stands: very Godzilla-ish.
