Watch the first four minutes of the new Futurama DVD movie (video)

Today is a momentous day for Futurama fans. It's the release of the new Futurama direct-to-DVD movie Bender's Big Score.

Futurama is the second-best thing ever created by Matt Groening. That's quite a compliment when you consider The Simpsons are number one on that list.

Futurama never really got a fair shot on Fox. It ran sparsely on the network from 1999 until 2003. The episodes are available on four DVD volumes. This new movie is the first of four DVD premieres.

These first four minutes from the DVD have the Rastafarian crew member Hermes in quite a bind. Watch, enjoy and then go out to get the full DVD.

And remember, the big-screen movie of that other Groening creation comes to DVD on Dec. 4.
