Apparently the MTV Movie Awards were last night. I wouldn't know, I didn't watch.
After seeing the two clips below, I'm kinda sad I missed it. Luckily the network will replay the show like 20 times over the next three days, I'm sure. Mike Myers hosted the festivities.
First up is a reunion of Myers and Dana Carvey for a new installment of Wayne's World. Notice the bewilderment of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. It's very clear they have no idea who the great Wayne and Garth are -- they were pre-schoolers when Wayne's World 2 was released in 1993.
The second clip is Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr.'s attempt to draft behind Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda for a Tropic Thunder viral video. Despite what Carl says, it's damn funny.
In the midst of all this summer movie promotion, they did find some time to hand out a few trophies. Here are the Golden Popcorn winners:
- Best Movie: Transformers
- Best Male Performance: Will Smith, I Am Legend
- Best Female Performance: Ellen Page, Juno
- Breakthrough Performance: Zac Efron, Hairspray
- Best Comedic Performance: Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
- Best Fight: Sean Faris and Cam Gigandet, Never Back Down
- Best Villain: Johnny Depp, Sweeney Todd
- Best Kiss: Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman, Step Up 2 The Streets
- Best Summer Movie So Far: Iron Man
- MTV Generation Award: Adam Sandler
