According to Variety, Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill, have sold a novella called Throttle to producer Nick Wechsler. First, it's news to me that Stephen King had a son, let alone one that is following in daddy's footsteps.

According to the Internet gospel, aka Wikiepedia.org, Joe Hill (born Joseph Hillstrom King) took his professional abbreviated name to strike it out on his own and to avoid the obvious comparisons to his more famous and prolific father. Well, the scheme worked... at least until today.

Also in the cinematic pipeline for Hill are adaptations of his works "Heart-Shaped Box" with Warner Bros. and "Locke & Key" with Dimension.

Throttle follows a father and son motorcycle tandem as they are being chased across the desert by a semi-trailer. Seems like I've heard of this story before.
