Scarlett Johansson's snot rag earns $5,300 on eBay

We typically don't prattle on about celebrity gossip and the like. However, we decided to share this news item for three very important reasons:
- It was for a good cause
- It was extremely ridiculous
- It involved Scarlett Johansson
It seems a Kleenex used by sexy actress Scarlett Johansson to blow her nose has earned $5,300 in an online auction. ScarJo launched a snot rocket into the tissue while appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Wednesday.
She appeared on Leno despite suffering from a cold she caught from her The Spirit co-star Samuel L. Jackson. Proud to be carrying a celebrity virus, she spontaneously christened a hanky to be auctioned for charity.
The lucky recipient of the money -- assuming the eBay bidder follows through -- is USA Harvest, a charity which provides food for hungry Americans.
Scarlett stars with Jackson, Eva Mendes, and Gabriel Macht in director Frank Miller's adaptation of the Will Eisner comic The Spirit. It's in theaters starting Dec. 25.
