This news seems about as obvious as people putting up new calendars in a couple of days. Bruce Boxleitner is returning for Tron 2.0, the sequel to the 1982 cult sci-fi film Tron.

This news is apparent for two reasons. One, Boxleitner was the title character in the Disney flick. Calling the thing Tron 2.0 means you'll probably also have the original, feature-less version in there as well.

And, two, what else does Bruce have going on? Aside from an occasional Babylon 5 fan convention, Bruce is most likely at home, waiting by the phone. You just know he screens his calls for all those Lifetime TV movie offers but when Disney calls about the sequel, he's Johnny-on-the-spot. The chance to once again don that glowing leotard is too much to pass up.

Jeff Bridges is returning as Kevin Flynn, the hacker who enters the computer program world of Tron.

Also recently cast in the sequel were actresses Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett. The film, sometimes referred to as TR2N, is filming now for an anticipated 2009 release.
