Hollywood beauty Cate Blanchett just announced that she and her husband, screenwriter Andrew Upton, are expecting their first child.

Cate's gift in her latest release, The Gift, isn't quite the blessing of this present. "It was a wonderful surprise and we couldn't be happier!" Cate exclaimed.

The Academy Award nominated actress is in the middle of filming 'The Shipping News' with Kevin Spacey, but both parents-to-be are starting to empty out their full schedules in time for baby. Congratulations.
