Brits name 'The Empire Strikes Back' as top sequel

With the upcoming release of Iron Man 2, British DVD rental firm Lovefilm conducted a poll asking film buffs which was the greatest sequel of all-time. Not surprisingly, The Empire Strikes Back took home the top honors, which should finally put to rest the ongoing argument between Dante and Randal over which Star Wars sequel was best.

While it's hard to argue the results of the poll, there are a few stragglers at the bottom that I just don't agree with. Of course, I'm having a difficult time coming up with any to replace them, which isn't surprising given that most sequels fall far short of their predecessors.

Here's the top 10:

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
3. The Godfather Part II
4. The Dark Knight
5. Aliens
6. The Bourne Supremacy
7. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
8. Toy Story 2
9. Meet the Fockers
10. Shrek 2

Can you come up with some worthy inclusions over those last few? Or, do you have a bigger gripe with the list?
