Here's something that popped up expectantly today. Brazilian fan site (of all places) Mundo Narnia (which loosely translated in my lack of any Spanish Portuguese skills whatsoever means "World of Narnia") posted the first trailer for the much anticipated third movie in the Narnia franchise, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Forget for a moment that until today, very few people probably even knew that Mundo Narnia even existed and you realize just how truly amazing the Internet can be. As someone who enjoyed the first movie, but has yet to watch the second movie, I found the trailer to be another extension of the world that C.S. Lewis created.

It will be interesting to see if the franchise can maintain its worth well enough to insure its completion. The first movie brought in almost $300 million, while the second one didn't even bring in half that. If The Voyage of the Dawn Treader follows suit and ends up only banking $70 million or so at the box office, prepare yourselves to see Disney Fox pull the plug on the rest of the series.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader hits theaters on December 10, 2010. What did you think of the trailer?

UPDATE: As many of you have rightly pointed out, Disney already pulled the plug on the franchise after the second movie. So, I suppose if this one fails to recapture the audience of the first one, then Walden Media will be shopping the rest of the series around to the remaining studios. Also, all apologies to Brazil and the many fine Brazilians, as someone who should know better, Portuguese is spoken in Brazil and not Spanish. Yes, I realize that I really messed this one up, but hey look, there's a trailer. :)
