Exciting new trailer for 'Super 8' debuts

Lots of movie fans have been eagerly anticipating this summer's Super 8 even before very few of us knew anything about it. Yeah, we knew it was sci-fi but the most important element about it was director J.J. Abrams.

The sheer mention of the wunderkind director has genre fans ready in anticipation. This next generation Spielberg has brought us Lost, the Star Trek reboot, Cloverfield, and Mission: Impossible III. With this new trailer for Super 8, it seems Abrams has created a gripping sci-fi film worthy of his filmmaker hero.

Interestingly, the trailer made its debut this morning via the film's Twitter feed. Give it a watch.

If you like science-fiction and this doesn't get your blood pumping, I don't know what will.

You also can't deny that this film has Steven Spielberg's influence all over it. It almost seems like a companion tale to Close Encounters. In fact, Spielberg is a producer on the film but the story and direction is all Abrams.

The film's release on June 10 now seems light years away.
