Harrison Ford is one of Hollywood's most respected actors these days, but long before he commanded tens of millions of dollars per film he was just another actor looking to make it big. The two roles that literally put Ford on the map were Han Solo in the Star Wars films and Indiana Jones.

With the advent of technology and the immediacy of the Internet, pretty much nothing is sacred anymore. Celebrity gaffes and awkward moments circle the globe faster than the stars can call their lawyers to get an injunction.

But, the world wasn't always this way.

In fact, there was a time when rumors and whispers were the only currency that existed. Such is the case with the first video listed below. There was a story that circulated in the late 1980s about a practical joke played on Harrison Ford on the set of Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom.

The story went that Barbra Streisand showed up on set one day and dressed up in a dominatrix outfit and whipped Ford. As sensational as the story was, it was always dismissed as rumor because no proof existed and it just seemed too outlandish.

Well, today JoBlo.com provides the proof. The video quality is extremely poor and the audio isn't much better, but it does serve to corroborate the story.

The funny thing is that this clip has been up on YouTube for almost 10 months, but it's just now coming to light. The user StooTV posted it on December 28, 2010 and it appears from the comments that he's the one that recorded it at some sort of private screening.

I think it's apparent from the audience laughter on the clip that it was filmed during a screening in front of a crowd, but then it begs the question, what audience viewed it and why didn't whispers of it's exhibition leak out earlier?

According to StooTV, the following is a transcript of the video (or close to it) that involves Ford, Streisand, Carrie Fisher and The Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner.

Barbra Streisand: "This is for Guns of..."
Barbra Streisand: "Guns of Nav... - No."
Harrison Ford: "For Force Ten..."
Barbra Streisand: "For Force Ten!"
Barbra Streisand: "This is for Hanover Street!"
Barbra Streisand: "This is for all the money you're going to make on Return of the Jedi!"
Harrison Ford: "Who's that?"
Carrie Fisher: "Is that the cue?...Someone who loves you!"
Irvin Kershner: "What the hell is the matter with you? Steve! Come on! I don't believe one word you're saying. Now come on, do it again!"
Barbra Streisand: "Give... give me a reason."
Harrison Ford: "It's the dialogue."
Irvin Kershner: "Well...the dialogue."
Carrie Fisher: "Can I change lines?"
Irvin Kershner: "Listen."
Carrie Fisher: "Yeah."
Irvin Kershner: "I want you to believe what you are doing!"
Carrie Fisher: "O.K."
Irvin Kershner: "You call that shouting? You call that pain?"
Harrison Ford: "Steven."
Irvin Kershner: "Steve, how can you let him do this?
Harrison Ford: "Steven."
Irvin Kershner: "Come on!"
Harrison Ford: "Get ready. Get set."
Carrie Fisher: "Alright, I can do it. I promise. I need to...(unintelligable)"
Irvin Kershner: "Do it again!"
Harrison Ford: "Really hit me! Really hit me this time!"
Barbra Streisand: "O.K."
Harrison Ford: "Don't do it with such... really hit me!"
Barbra Streisand: "Y'know, I feel like a faggot!"

Whatever the case, it's an interesting find to say the least. These days, some grip on the set would have posted the prank on the Internet within the hour. Sometimes, I prefer the mystique of old Hollywood.

One thing is certain. With that last line from Streisand, you won't be seeing this clip turn up on any official DVD or Blu-ray releases anytime soon.

To bring the story full circle, the extended/deleted scene from the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Empire Strikes Back also found its way online this week. The scene in question is an extended exchange on Hoth between Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher.

Don't you love it when everything comes together so nicely? Tell us what you think of both clips.
