'Dazed & Confused's Wooderson returns for a music video & more

It's not often that we simply just post cool videos that we've seen online, but sometimes they are just too awesome not to share. And what would be more awesome than Matthew McConaughey reprising his Dazed and Confused persona of Wooderson?

That's right, nothing.

But before we get to that, I noticed that this week seems to be the week of mixing music and movies together to create pure awesomeness. So, why not showcase a couple of them in this article to give you more bang for your buck?

The first video takes a bunch of clips from some great movies (and some not so great movies) and composes the first few verses from a very popular Lionel Richie song. I think you'll agree that it will have you at "hello."

Funny Star Wars videos are a dime a dozen on the Internet. In fact, I'm sure there are multiple sites that simply specialize on bringing them to the light of day.

But, every now and then, there is one that separates itself from the rest. Remember last year's Super Bowl and the Volkswagen commercial with the little Darth Vader who was trying to use the force all over the house before finally "succeeding" by turning on the car?

Well, the folks at Volkswagen are back they unleashed a sneak peek at their Super Bowl this year. It's like they took last year's commercial and mated it with an OKGo music video.

The result is simply priceless.

And finally today, I definitely saved the best for last. Imagine if you will that you had a band and for one of your videos you actually got Matthew McConaughey to reprise Wooderson and perform for the whole video.

Well, imagine no more, because Butch Walker and The Black Widows did just that for the video for their song "Synthesizers." And yes, it is as amazing as you would expect it to be.

The video is basically a Wooderson wet dream come true with plenty of high school girls and groovy '70s staples, including a cameo from one of the "largest" stars of the time. The tongue-in-cheek video is a fun little trip and when you're done staring at Wooderson, check out the subtle digs at Jersey Shore and Glee among others.
