This is the oddest movie trailer that you will see all year

I've seen a few odd things in my time. I've seen many things that sadly I can't forget, despite how hard I try.

The trailer for 3,2,1... Frankie Go Boom certainly falls into that category. When I saw John Travolta in drag for Hairspray, I never thought I would see a worse guy in drag on the big screen.

But then I watched this trailer.

Seeing Ron Perlman in drag was jarring. A pretty Hellgirl, he is not.

And yet, like many things we can't explain, I absolutely loved this trailer. The film looks about as quirky as they come these days and I love the cast.

As my colleague Tim mentioned, even the bizarre title somehow fits this offbeat romp. I couldn't have said it better myself.

3,2,1... Frankie Go Boom hits theaters on October 12.
