When you have a concept for a movie that is so far out there, it just might actually work. One of my favorite mockumentary flicks (you remember that genre craze from the last decade, right?) of all time was Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Like Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and plenty like it, Drop Dead Gorgeous brought a bit of humor to a niche arena that was practically begging to be ridiculed. In Butter, beauty pageants have been replaced by the world of competitive butter sculpting.

Oh yes, you read that right.

Apparently people at state fairs all across this great country get so bored with themselves that they turn to carving "art" out of huge blocks of butter. While yes, this does sound extremely sad and boring, the result, like any meal rich in butter, is absolutely delicious.

Yahoo! Movies has the first look at this culinary delicacy and all I can say is bravo. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself and I dare you not to laugh.

I told you that it was impossible to not laugh. Of course, seeing that huge butter mural of the Last Supper brought only one thing to mind. If you're fans of the Bob & Tom show on radio, you know where I'm going with this.

I sure hope they can work the Heywood Banks song into the film. Butter hits theaters on October 5.
