Baldwin Scores Lead As New 'Exorcist'

Alec Baldwin is slowly manufacturing himself back into the hot actor category. Building on the success of his "on target" performance in Pearl Harbor, Alec is set to bring Father Merrin back to life in The Exorcist 4:1.

The original Father Merrin was played by Max Von Sydow. Since this latest Exorcist adventure focuses on Father Merrin's missionary work set before the original Exorcist, a younger actor was inevitable.
