Production On 'Freddy Vs. Jason' To Begin Next Year

Robert Englund (Freddy) and Kane Hodder (Jason) confirmed this week that Freddy Vs. Jason is moving forward. Downplaying speculation that investors were waiting to see how Jason X performed at the box office before committing to the project, they explained that certain contractual requirements prevented them from beginning production before Jason X opens at theaters.

Jason X is scheduled for a release early next year. Production on Jason Vs. Freddy should begin shortly after that.
