Rachael Leigh Cook To Play Bad Girl

The perennial All-American girl who's All That and a bag of chips, is starting to explore her dark side. Rachael Leigh Cook signed on to two projects this week that will allow her to stretch her acting legs a bit.

First, she joins Johnny Galecki, Lukas Haas and Nick Stahl in Bookies, the story of four college friends who become small-time bookies. They start making some real money and draw the ire of the mob. After that, she'll appear in American Crime with Kip Pardue. This creepy thriller will showcase several small town murders from the point of view of a news crew who become the most likely suspect due to their knack for showing up to murder scenes a little too fast.

Both movies shoot later this year and early next with release dates set for late next year.
