John Cusack Cast In Sequel To 'L.A. Confidential'

Cult favorite John Cusack is set to join Nick Nolte in the "sequel" to 1997's L.A. Confidential. White Jazz is author James Ellroy's follow-up to L.A. Confidential, but it's not a sequel in the true sense of the word.

White Jazz is set in L.A. during the late 1950s, but it's unclear which stars from the first film, if any, will return. Instead, the story follows the deep-rooted corruption found in the LAPD during this time. The main thrust of the movie will be to follow the life of Liutenant Dave Klein, a corrupt cop who is thrown to the wolves as bait when the FBI begins an investigation into the corruption within the LAPD.
