Hey Hey Hey! Fat Albert Is Coming To The Big Screen

After more than 20 years, Fat Albert is trying for a come back! Actor/director Forest Whitaker is negotiating with Twentieth Century Fox about taking over the director's chair for the project.

The film is slated for 2003 and will be based loosely around the 1970s cartoon, 'Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids,' which was originally written by Bill Cosby and Charles Kipps.

The live-action comedy will be a new direction for Forest, should he take the job. In the past he's directed romances like Hope Floats and Waiting To Exhale.
