'The Creature From The Black Lagoon' To Get Facelift

Universal announced this week that they are going back and revisiting their 1954 horror classic Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Not much is known about the project except that Universal has brought on the writer from the original with his son to produce the new adaptation. The original movie follows a group of scientists who discover the missing link between humans and fish while exploring the Amazon River. The prehistoric Gill-Man escapes his impisonment and runs off with the girlfriend of one of scientists, with the hopes of running off with her and producing little Gill-Babies.
