Samantha Mumba To Fill Aaliyah's Shoes In 'The Matrix'?

Warner Bros. is mulling over its options for replacing Aaliyah in the upcoming sequels to The Matrix. Before her tragic death in a plane accident earlier this year, Aaliyah was slated to play Zee a pivotal character in The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions.

It looks as though Warner Bros. may have found their woman. According to various reports, singer/actress Samantha Mumba (pictured at right) is set to come aboard and take over the character of Zee. Mumba, who will make her big screen debut in next summer's The Time Machine, has established herself as a singer before pursuing acting, much like Aaliyah had done.
