Reese Hits The $8 Million Club

Nothing like the "Mile-High Club," but maybe just a great in actress Reese Witherspoon's eyes...or checkbook.

That Golden Globe nomination must have proved something to the studio executives who make the salary budgets. The Legally Blonde star will get paid $8 million for her next role as a washed-up 24-year-old tennis pro.

No title yet, but Intermedia Films is excited and wants to start production by May.

Ms. Witherspoon's salary has exploded since the beginning of her career. She's appeared in more than 15 movies until her $1 million came for Legally Blonde. She signed on with Disney for $5 million to star in 'Sweet Home Alabama' and now she'll swing a racket for $8 million good reasons.
