Keanu Reeves Is The New 'Billy Jack'

When he's not saving the world through the computer jack in the back of his head, Keanu Reeves is busy looking for more dramatic pieces to bolster his acting resume. Try not to laugh.

The latest venture finds Reeves in the driver seat to play the titular character in a remake of 1971's Black Jack. The movie follows a half-American Indian Vietnam veteran who returns from the war to find his own personal wars are just starting. Faced with a cruel bureaucracy and bigots picking on his girlfriend's freedom school, Billy Jack strikes back with his own form of justice.

Tom Laughlin, who directed, wrote and starred in the original is the champion of the remake and has his sights set directly on Reeves as the lead. Must be a lot of "Whoas" in the script...
