Serenades

In 19th-century Australia, exotic beauty Jila (Alice Haines) is born between the worlds of her Afghan father and Aborigine mother. When her mother dies, her father takes her and raises her as a Muslim. In time, Jila falls in love with a Christian (Aden Young — The Starter Wife), but is unable to follow her heart as she is controlled by her father and a strict Muslim lifestyle.
