Jack Satin is the best Vegas performer you've never heard of. Jack (Hamilton von Watts) has no money, no gig and delusional aspirations of fame. When forced to leave Vegas, he packs up his old cruiser and hits the road for Atlantic City. Call it poetic justice, but his trusty classic breaks down in the desert and strands Jack in the tiny town of Lost Springs.
Jack meets jazz-legend turned mechanic, Doc Bishop (Robert Guillaume), who helps him with his car trouble. Although far from the stage, Jack begins to find himself feeling at home in Lost Springs. When he meets bar owner Lauren Wells (Melissa Joan Hart), he begins to see there is more to life than marquee signs and packed rooms.
Doc encourages Jack to explore his true love of music while Lauren provides the audience he has always craved. Just as Jack realizes the town has more to offer him than the bright lights of the big city, his Vegas past catches up to him - and what unfolds is comedy at the crossroads of fame and fortune.
