This scenic look at the railways of Southern Germany shows the day to day operations of the Deutsche Bundesbahn as well as the many unusual trains of the region. It travels the many systems along the castle-strewn River Rhine to Mainz, braves the wild terrain of the Black Forrest, and visits the birthplace of German rail, Bavaria before finally climbing Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze.
