Successful doctor Micheal Travers (Lew Cody) juggles a busy schedule of patients and their imaginary illnesses as well as charity cases while still trying to find time to spend with his outgoing socialite fiance Diane Manners (Aileen Pringle). When a woman suddenly dies of heart failure in his office, Travers takes an interest in her young daughter Judy (Sally O'Neil), making her his ward. Upon return from a three-year speaking engagement in Europe, Travers finds himself falling in love with Judy, despite her now being engaged to Diane's younger brother (Edward Morgan). Tensions rise as the four suddenly become aware of each others' intertwined feelings.
Director Frank Strayer's early career was spent on Poverty Row churning out dozens of low budget dramas, mysteries and horror films which include Condemned to Live, The Ghost Walks, Death from a Distance and the Fay Wray / Lionel Atwill genre classic The Vampire Bat. Later Strayer graduated upward to the majors and is best remembered for a series of Blondie movies made in the 40s.
