As a rogue black stallion terrorizes the region, rancher Bob Clark threatens to massacre Chief Matapotan's entire village for stealing 400 of his horses. Cowboy Steve Mason (Dave O'Brien) knows the Indians are innocent and that the real rustler is cold-blooded ranch hand Barlow. While the horse thief plugs any man threatening to expose his racket, tribesmen Sina-Oga and Hahawi (Chief Thundercloud) pursue the wild stallion in the hopes of taming it.

Originally released as King of the Stallions, this Monogram western was filmed on magnificent locations in Crater Canyon, California and Monument Valley, Arizona. Chief Thundercloud ('Tonto' from the classic 1930s serials The Lone Ranger and The Lone Ranger Rides Again) headlines this thrill-packed western told through a unique Native American perspective. Appearing alongside Chief Thundercloud are Iron Eyes Cody ("The Crying Indian"), Paint, the Killer Stallion, and Nakoma, the Wonder Horse. The part-Cherokee Thundercloud was born Victor Daniels and appeared in scores of westerns from the mid-1930s until his final uncredited appearance in John Ford's 1956 masterpiece The Searchers.
